Publicity Seekers takes the plunge for charity

On January 19, Publicity Seekers’ Jonny and Kelly will be bungee jumping off the Transporter Bridge. Fingers crossed they don’t take a dip in the Tees!

In 2012, Jonny’s then 10yearold sister, Emily, suffered a stroke.

As a result of this Emily, now 18, lost the use of her right arm, had neurological fatigue and an inability to speak, read and write, which is known as Aphasia.

Emily was also left unable to walk, which she has now regained through hard work and determination.

Jonny said: “Emily’s priority is to overcome her Aphasia but sadly, support isn’t sufficiently available in the UK for young people.

“However, there is an intensive speech therapy course available at the University of Milwaukee next year and Emily hopes to be able to raise sufficient funds to take part.”

Unfortunately the first jump, scheduled for September 15, was cancelled and so Go Fund Me has refunded everyone who had originally donated. Donating again would be very much appreciated.

You can find out more information about Emily or donate to this fantastic cause on the Go Fund Me page.
