Teesside University’s Animex Festival

The international festival of animation, Animexdraws some of the games and animation industry’s brightest lights and future stars together to share knowledge with the next generation.

Founded by Teesside University in 2000, this festival plays host to a unique blend of talks from leading industry speakers, exhibitions, networking events, screenings and more from 21 September to 4 October. 

The Animex Industry Day, taking place on September 30, brings together key figures to discuss the impact of Covid-19 and how the games, animation and visual effects industry has responded.

This year the festival will be held online to due the pandemic.

Centre Square Middlesbrough awarded Best Commercial Project

Centre Square Middlesbrough has been awarded the LABC Award for Best Commercial Project at the Northern Building Excellence Awards. 

Bowmer & Kirkland, Seymour Architecture, Ashall Projects (MB) Ltd, were all involved in the Centre Square Middlesbrough project and won the award due to building excellence in the delivery and outstanding construction and workmanship.

Darlington Business Week

Bookings for the first ever Darlington Business Week are open.

The event will hold more than fifteen free online workshops, seminars and events from 5-9 October 2020.

The week will bring together professional skills and experience from local companies as well as: Tees Valley Combined Authority , Tedco LTD Darlington College and North East Jobs.
